Craigmoor The Source Chardonnay
Mudgee’s original Chardonnay vines are ragarded to be the source for much of Australia’s Chardonnay plantings from the 1960s. In fact, Craigmoor’s then winemaker, Pieter Van Gent, released the first Aussie Chardonnay in 1972. The variety achieved rockstar status in the 1980s.
This Chardonnay is a modern expression of the Australian style: medium bodied, with citrus, peach and melon fruit flavours. Delicate oak marries nicely with fruit & finished crisp and lively.
