First Ridge Montepulciano

Montepulciano is a newer arrival in Australia – its homeland is the Adriatic Coast region of Abruzzo, near the ancient city of Pescara. Strong fragrance of dark cherries, mulberries and blackberries with an earthy twang.  

Sweet oriental spices form an exotic background make it true to the variety. Chewy and chunky with upfront black-fruited flavours that echo the nose with a raft of decisive tannins to mould the finish.
