Lowe Bobby 2018 Zinfandel Cuvée

$75.00

Bobby Lowe's infamy came when he shot from the hip and killed a bushranger during an armed hold up of his buggy in 1863.

Bobby was awarded a gold medallion for bravery, but taking no pride in this loss of life he hid it away until it was eventually found and donated to the Mitchell Library, where it remains today. As a significant figure during colonial life in Mudgee, Bobby's act gave rise to a saying at the time 'Don't do a Bobby Lowe on me!'.

This organic Zinfandel shares the same guts, fermented on the lees in this bottle for four years, it's creamy and rich, but with a classically understated fineness.
