Robert Stein The Kinnear Reserve

The Kinnear was the ship which brought Johann Stein to Australia on 23rd April, 1838, so it is appropriate that this be the name of the Robert Stein flagship wine. The Kinnear is an icon of the family, a symbol of the great hardship and struggle of the past, and a celebration of their lives today. 

The Robert Stein 'Kinnear' is just the 5th release of the flagship wine. A blend of Shiraz 93% and Cabernet Sauvignon 7%, which were selected from the best rows in the best blocks.  

The fruit was picked by hand and wild fermented in small open vatswith 30% whole berries. The wine was matured for 15 months in 50% French Oak Hogsheads and only the best two barrels were chosen.
